Privacy, in plain language
Short version: what you log stays on your device. We don’t have accounts, we don’t sell data, and we don’t use advertising trackers.
What you log
- Your meals, water, goals, medicine, shots and pills (dose, injection spot and time), weight and how you feel are saved only in your browser on your device.
- We can’t see it. If you clear your browser data or use “Erase everything” in Settings, it’s gone.
- You can download a copy any time from Settings → Download my data.
- The report for your doctor (and its spreadsheet) is made on your device. It goes only where you choose to print, save or send it.
Your voice
- When you tap the microphone, your browser turns your speech into text. On iPhone and Mac this is done by Apple; in Chrome it is done by Google. Their privacy policies apply to that step.
- In browsers without built-in speech recognition, a short recording may be sent to our server to be turned into text by an AI service, then deleted. We don’t keep recordings.
The AI helper
- When the AI helper is on, the words you say or type about a meal (not your history, name or health details) are sent to our server and an AI service to be matched to foods. They aren’t stored.
- If you mention a shot or pill (“took my 5 mg Zepbound in my left thigh”), EAT.FM reads that part on your device and sends only the food part to the AI helper.
The waitlist
- If you join the iPhone app waitlist, we keep your email address only to tell you when the app is ready.
Not medical advice
EAT.FM is not a medical device and doesn’t give medical advice. Talk to your doctor or dietitian about your medicine, side effects and diet.
